The Hanzi To Pinyin Converter provides Chinese language learners an easy way to dynamically create lessons based on fresh content (news, emails, etc.).
This converter is specifically designed to make that newly-created content portable.
This brief post shows you how to bring the Hanzi To Pinyin Conversion into Google Docs.
First, convert the Chinese text. You will see the Download HTML link at the top of the translation.

You want to right-click and select Copy Link Location.

Open Google Docs (docs.google.com).
Click Upload.

You will see the upload page appear.

On the Upload Page, Paste the Link for the Hanzi To Pinyin Conversion Download HTML (Ctrl/Command+V) into the second input box.
Type the name you want for the document in the last input box.

Click Upload File.
Tada!! You now have Primezero’s Hanzi To Pinyin Conversion in Your Google Docs document.

That was beyoooooooooooond easy!!!

The BIG PICTURE is I want Chinese language learners to have maximum portability of their study materials.
Students should be able to build and share learning experiences with other learners.
One way is to encourage students to read news articles daily with Hanyu Pinyin displayed next to common characters. Students should be able to download the conversion, re-upload it to the cloud server of their choice and re-purpose the original conversion.

from my Developer Notes:
One of the cool things you can do with the Primezero Hanzi To Pinyin Converter is practice reading articles in Chinese.
When I first started learning Chinese, I used NJStar. However, it was not convenient to install NJStar CJK Word Processor to simply view a Hanzi To Pinyin Conversion of a simple text clipping.
So, I created my own Hanzi To Pinyin Converter.
URL: http://www.hanzitopinyin.com/
It is still in development but you can try out some conversions now. I want this conversion utility to provide users the following features for now:
- Simple copy, paste and conversion functionality.
- Ability to copy and paste the converted Hanzi and pinyin into Microsoft Word documents and other applications for further annotation.
- Ability to jump over to the Primezero i18n Terminal to research individual characters and similar words.
- Flexibility to meet user requests for new features with extensibility baked into the code design.

more later…
