Arizona AIMS Mathematics High School Sample Test Annotated Solutions Manual

Arizona Daily Star reports that Arizona’s State Tutoring Program AIMS tutoring funds are being “halted”, just as students are preparing for the high-stakes examination.

Why?

It’s not related to football.

It’s not related to basketball.

It’s not related to hockey.

It’s not related to golf.

Place the budget for one city-managed Super Bowl party next to the budget for the State Tutoring program. It will shock you. Then, you’ll shake your head.

In light of the lowered standards in the Arizona Instrument to Measure Standards, Primezero will develop a new “Super AIMS Math Test”.

Even if students pass the AIMS test, they may not be prepared to actually solve real-life problems in industries such as roofing, solar energy and even baking.

Students exiting high school unable to estimate cost of commodities, like wheat or gold, can only harm society. So, Primezero Research has begun work on a new approach to assessing student understanding of the Arizona Department of Education’s Standards.

As usual, the research will not use a penny of Arizona Department of Education, as much of the test development will only need a pen, a paper and some common sense.

For students who feel undervalued, underestimated and just plain bored, help is one the way.
