Looking at our choices, we know we can eliminate two obvious ones: Choice A, the distance between the sea level and the submarine and Choice D, the distance between the helicopter and sea level.

If the minumum distance between the helicopter and the submarine is the distance to sea level (4,500 feet) then Choice B is not possible.

The only choice we have is Choice C.
